3rd Gen Idol Makes Viral Pregnancy Announcement

Former ABRY member and solo artist Kim Soeun has shared that she is pregnant.

In a post on her Instagram account, the idol shared a photo set featuring her and her husband, along with ultrasound images. In the caption, she shared that she is currently 13 weeks and is due in November.

Finally announcing my pregnancy at 13 weeks..

I was going to organize the wedding photos and honeymoon pictures first before announcing it, but at this rate I felt like I wouldn’t reveal the pregnancy until the baby was born, so I’m just doing it now.

Since the wedding was in March, we jokingly said, ‘Let’s start trying right away in March,’ and our little Jjorangi really came to us in one try.. 🤍

A few days before the wedding, we unexpectedly found out really early, and starting near the end of our honeymoon, I got morning sickness. Even now at 13 weeks, I’m still experiencing this kind of nausea and exhaustion for the first time ever.

But whenever it’s ultrasound day, everything feels so amazing and exciting these days 
(After getting pregnant, I realized my husband is truly the best, and I’m also so thankful to Jonghoon.. 🫶🏻)

While the news is great, the announcement isn’t actually what caused it to go viral.

When it was shared on a popular page for information about “nugu” artists, someone commented that it might be strange for the baby to one day look themselves up and see the post, joking about the post.

Having idol parents must be crazy, imagine growing up and finding out your prenatal ultrasounds were posted on nugu archive 😭

Hilariously, many also incorrectly read the group name as ARBY’s, a fast food chain.

Soeun debuted as a member of ABRY in 2017 before leaving the group in 2020. She made her solo debut in 2022 with “헤어지자는 한마디”

She and her husband, a non-celebrity, got married in March 2026.
