4th Gen Idol Credited In “BL” Film Starring His Brother

A pair of famous siblings is proving, once again, that talent runs in the family!

On April 16, DAZED KOREA announced the film Hallucination, starring Kim Bumjoong, the brother of ATEEZ‘s Hongjoong. The film follows a fashion editor who creates a male AI.

DAZED KOREA‘s synopsis for the film poses the question, “Is it love? Or a hallucination?”

A special screening of the film took place at the 27th Jeonju International Film Festival, in Hall 1 of CGV Jeonju Gosa at 6:00 p.m. on May 7. This was followed by a guest talk where the filmmakers and actors, including Hongjoong, discussed Hallucination.

Hongjoong said he thought a lot about the emotional connections and boundaries between real people and AIs. He composed two main theme songs for Hallucination and worked on other tracks as well.

Although DAZED KOREA didn’t label the film as BL (Boys’ Love) in their post, netizens have been quick to classify it as such, based on descriptions posted by popular ATEEZ fan accounts.
