He responded to the allegations himself.

However, along with this came discussions of his past scandal.
On June 26, 2023, a netizen claimed that he had a one-night stand with a woman, leading to her pregnancy in 2021, and later abortion his baby. The woman claimed to have been threatened by his mother, who even installed a CCTV in front of her door to monitor her actions. The woman showed abortion certificates to prove it.

It is suspected that #CaiXukun’s mother made a recording. In the recording, Cai Xukun’s mother said that she will give money to the girl to have an abortion pic.twitter.com/gipcNGvcCb— Melon House (@Cpop_Melon) June 26, 2023
On July 3, 2023, Cai XuKun spoke up on Weibo, stating that the relationship was between two consensual adults and that the abortion was voluntary and agreed upon. However, due to censorship in China, the star was “soft-banned.”
In April 2025, the idol won defamation cases against those who spread the forced abortion rumors online and saw a wider return to activities.
Despite this, many still shared messages criticizing the idol after his viral Met Gala moment.
Everyone watch out….this Chinese scumbag got a girl pregnant, forced her to abort, then lied claiming she blackmailed him. Don’t fall for the cute face, he’s still a misogynistic piece of shit inside

Fans of the idol also responded, citing his legal win and showing continued support.
Trust China’s legal system and Cai Xukun. He is extremely popular in China, yet many people envy and resent him, so they spread rumors about him. Cai Xukun won the lawsuit in April 2025, and those who spread rumors have apologized and admitted to fabricating false information.

Kun is the one who was threatened, and he has already won the lawsuit. The female victims mentioned by Haters have never actually appeared. They are all rumors spread by paparazzi who threaten Kun.I just wanted to post something that haters wouldn’t tell you. pic.twitter.com/QML7ftfuzw
