Actress Announces Her Marriage And Pregnancy

A divorced actress has said “I do” again, seven years after her marriage to her first husband ended.

Japanese actress Sugimoto Yumi is best known for her role in the 2008 J-Drama series Engine Sentai Go-Onger. In 2016, she married a non-celebrity man. Three years later, she announced her divorce and revealed that her ex-husband was a private citizen, which affected how and where she broke the news to her fans.

On May 13, Yumi announced her marriage to her new husband, whose identity hasn’t been revealed, and her pregnancy via social media. In her statement, Yumi expressed deep gratitude to fans and industry professionals who have supported her during her 25 years in the entertainment industry. She noted that she had been experiencing days of poor health as a first-time mother-to-be, feeling both wonder and anxiety.

Along with her statement, Yumi posted two maternity photos of herself, showing off her baby bump. She is due to give birth to her and her husband’s first child this autumn.
