Actress With Turbulent Love Life Spotted On “Date” With A New Man

An actress with a long, complicated relationship history is back in the news for her love life.

Huang Yi (also known as Betty) is a Chinese actress and singer best known for the TV series Wrong Carriage, Right Groom and My Fair Princess 3. She went through two highly publicized marriages and tumultuous divorces that, at times, reportedly outshone her acting career.

Huang Yi unexpectedly became a trending topic on Weibo this week after entertainment bloggers circulated claims that she had been repeatedly seen entering the same apartment building in Shanghai with an unidentified man. The speculation gained traction after paparazzi accounts released videos allegedly showing her dining with this man on several occasions.

The two were first spotted leaving a restaurant together, then arriving at the same apartment complex late at night. Days later, paparazzi footage reportedly captured them attending another gathering with mutual friends, after which they were again seen returning to the same residence.

The online chatter intensified due, in part, to an earlier rumor that gained traction on May 11. The post reportedly described a “female actress famous for Princess Pearl with two marriages and a younger ex-boyfriend” being seen with a mystery man.

On May 18, Huang Yi responded to the speculation through her Weibo account. She denied any romantic involvement, writing, “Just a work partner, please stop guessing. We’ve known each other for many years, and there’s nothing else. Thank you, everyone, for your concern and attention.”
