IVE‘s Wonyoung is receiving support from netizens after a recent airport clip sparked yet another debate about her alleged attitude.

The controversy began when a short video circulated online showing Wonyoung going through an identity verification process. In the clip, she briefly lowered her mask when asked by a staff member to confirm her identity, but appeared to have to repeat the action before taking back her passport and walking away.

Some commenters criticized the idol’s behavior, arguing that it would have been easier to simply remove her mask properly from the start. Others went further, accusing her of being rude for allegedly taking her passport abruptly and leaving without greeting the staff member.

However, the narrative quickly shifted after longer footage of the interaction began spreading online.

Many netizens who watched the full video argued that the original criticism was exaggerated and taken out of context. According to those defending Wonyoung, she was polite throughout the interaction and even handed over her passport with both hands.

Watching the full video makes this even more ridiculous. Wonyoung handed over her passport with both hands and was perfectly polite. F*ck. But suddenly she’s being called rude because she received it with one hand and walked away? Who’s actually being rude here?
