Intimate Bed Photo Sparks Gay Dating Rumors For Idol-Actor

A viral photo has romantically linked an idol-turned-actor with a Vogue China staff member.

The photo allegedly features Zhan Xuan, a Chinese actor who entered the entertainment industry as an idol. He debuted as a member of the boy group D.BOY in 2016 and transitioned to acting in 2019. Since then, he has starred in a number of series, including the popular BL (Boys’ Love) romance Revenged Love. Now, he’s making headlines alongside Rocco Liu (also known as Liu Chong), Vogue China’s editorial director.

On June 2, an unidentified image showing two men sharing a bed began circulating widely across Chinese social media.

Within just a few hours, online users reportedly started speculating about a possible link between the actor and Liu, pointing to visual similarities between them and the unidentified men in the photo.

Zhan Xuan’s management quickly responded with an official statement, completely rejecting the allegations and calling the circulating content false and fabricated. They also issued an apology to any individuals who may have been unintentionally impacted and urged the public to refrain from sharing unverified claims.

All information circulating online are false. We have secured evidence and reserve the legal right to pursue those who create and spread rumors. We sincerely apologize to those who were inconvenienced by the rumors. We hope everyone can distinguish between what’s true and what’s false. Don’t believe rumors, don’t spread rumors.

Rocco Liu also addressed the situation, explaining that he was working overtime at the office when the rumor suddenly surfaced online and caught him off guard. He categorically denied the accusations and stated that he would be reporting the matter to authorities.

Who did I piss off? I was just working overtime in the office, and then this suddenly got thrown at me?! I’ve never imagined there would be such rumors about me. I’m not in the mood for overtime anymore. I’m going to get off work and make a police report.
