Active 4th Gen Idol Suddenly Drops Enlistment News

It seems another member of THE BOYZ will be enlisting in the near future.

THE BOYZ have currently been focused on individual activities following their legal dispute with ONE HUNDRED. All but one member was granted injunctions to suspend their exclusive contracts with the agency, just before their self-funded concerts.

Prior to this, leader Sangyeon was the first to begin his enlistment back in March 2025, though fans have been aware that other members will need to begin their own enlistments soon.

On June 14, Younghoon went live to speak with fans about his upcoming activities. While discussing how he’d be interacting with fans, the idol mentioned that he’d be “going away for a bit,” adding that it would last for about a year and a half.

It quickly became clear to fans that the idol was referencing his mandatory military enlistment, something that confused and surprised fans. Younghoon is a 97-liner, and it is approaching the age of required enlistment, like other 97-liners.
