Beloved Actor Confesses His “Daddy” Dating Style

A beloved Korean actor revealed his unique ideal type on Radio Star, sharing that he is suffering from the “daddy syndrome” while dating.

On the July 1st broadcast of MBC’s variety show Radio Star, the special episode “National Representative Sons” featured Ryu Soo Young, Choi Jin Hyuk, Yoon Si Yoon, and Sandeul.

On the show, Yoon Si Yoon caught attention by revealing that after his daily life was shown on My Ugly Duckling (also known as My Little Old Boy), he was virtually “returned” by mother fans.

Yoon Si Yoon said, “When I was doing Bread, Love and Dreams and weekend dramas, mother fans said things like, ‘I want to adopt him as my son,’ or ‘I wish my son would grow up like Yoon Si Yoon.’ But after the My Ugly Duckling broadcast, those mothers said, ‘No wonder this guy can’t get married,’” he confessed.

At that time, Yoon Si Yoon’s home, which was shown, was so spotless it formed perfect symmetry and sharp lines, exceeding even Seo Jang Hoon, known as a cleanliness fanatic in the entertainment industry, which sparked discussion.

Yoon Si Yoon said, “That’s why when I was on My Ugly Duckling, I frowned when asked to show my house. There was nothing to show on TV, but after seeing the broadcast, I realized just how extreme I was.”

He even cleaned the restroom in the musical rehearsal room. Choi Jin Hyuk, who is working alongside him in the musical The Days, revealed, “The eight of us share the rehearsal room, and there was a recent water flood. Water backed up at the toilet and everyone felt uneasy, not knowing what to do, but it was Yoon Si Yoon cleaning the bathroom that caused the drainage to stop and overflow.”

Yoon Si Yoon responded, “I enjoy the process of organizing and cleaning relieves my stress,” emphasizing, “There’s satisfaction when dirty things become clean.”

Yoon Si Yoon added, “I even watch YouTube videos of unclogging drains or trimming ingrown toenails.” Kim Guk Jin then asked with a laugh, “Are you the type who gets excited looking at dirty things?”

Especially, when asked if he prefers a woman he wants to take care of even if she’s messy, Yoon Si Yoon confessed his ideal type: “If you feel, ‘Huh? Why is this cute? I want to look after her, want to clean her up?’—if I feel that way, I think I like her.”

Furthermore, he shared his own dating style: “When I’m in a relationship, I get ‘daddy syndrome.’ (My girlfriend) feels like a daughter. I feel like saying, ‘Don’t do anything. I’ll take care of everything.’”
