Model-Turned-TV Star Works Restaurant Job While Raising Son Alone After Divorce From Idol Ex-Husband

In a new video uploaded to her YouTube channel, the former racing model and TV star Ji Yeon Soo opened up about her current life after moving off Jeju Island and starting over in a new home.

The house she revealed was a duplex-style space with a first and second floor. According to Ji Yeon Soo, the entire home is about 15 pyeong, or approximately 533 square feet, while the living room is only around 3 pyeong, or about 107 square feet. Rather than presenting the home as glamorous or picture-perfect, Ji Yeon Soo gave viewers an honest look at the life she is currently managing as a single mother. When asked what she is doing these days, she revealed that she is working part-time at a gomtang (bone broth soup) restaurant.

In my case, I prefer restaurants where I go to work in the morning and the lunch rush is busy. After the part-time job ends, I take care of my son, Min Soo.

Ji Yeon Soo married former U-KISS member Eli in 2014, and the couple welcomed their son, Min Soo, during their marriage. The two later divorced in 2020, after which Ji Yeon Soo continued raising Min Soo on her own. Eli recently remarried on June 14, bringing renewed attention to Ji Yeon Soo’s life as his ex-wife and the mother of their child.
