Kim Jong Kook Shares His Honest Thoughts On Having Kids

Singer Kim Jong Kook drew attention by showing his “soon-to-be doting dad” side.

Recently, a video titled “PT That Even a Mother in Her Eighties Can’t Avoid” was posted on Kim Jong Kook’s YouTube channel. In the video, Kim Jong Kook revealed scenes from a trip he took to Las Vegas, USA, with his mother.

Kim Jong Kook explained, “Due to an unexpected change in schedule, I suddenly had a few days off, so I took my mother on a trip. Last year, my mother turned eighty, but because of a lot of complicated matters, I couldn’t celebrate with any events, so I hurriedly took this trip to mark her birthday.”

He then showed his affectionate son side by shopping for cosmetics and underwear together with his mother. His mother smiled brightly, saying, “It’s so enjoyable. Thanks to my son, I unexpectedly came and got to see a lot of good sights and had a great time.”

Kim Jong Kook also shared his thoughts, “In the past, I used to travel overseas with my mother at least once a year, but now that I have a family and my mother is getting older, I thought traveling alone together might be difficult. But this felt like receiving an unexpected gift, and I had a happy trip.”

Before returning home, while being sent off by a friend’s family, Kim Jong Kook showed a touching moment looking at Seo Ah, the daughter of a friend, who was holding his mother’s hand tightly while walking.

He said, “Seo Ah welcomed my mother two years ago, and now she’s even seeing her off. I should have been bringing my mother around like this with a daughter exactly Seo Ah’s age,” revealing his desire for children. Seeing the friend’s daughter holding hands and running, he added, “That’s my future.”

Born in 1976, Kim Jong Kook married a non-celebrity woman last September at a hotel in Gangnam, Seoul.
