Song Jieun Reveals Her And Her Husband Park We Actually Don’t Match

Singer Song Jieun, originally from the girl group Secret, revealed changes after marrying her husband Park We.

On July 15th, a video titled “If You Love, Like This Couple! | Singer Song Jieun | Wonderful Woman” was uploaded on YouTube.

In the video, Song Jieun honestly shared how her personality changed after marriage. She said, “There was a time when my husband was really surprised,” adding, “I was raised as an only child with strict parents. I think I had a ‘good child syndrome’ from a young age. I lived a life following what the majority wanted without asserting my own thoughts.”

Recalling her dating days, she said, “Because I wanted to be loved and adored by him, whenever he asked, ‘Jieun, shall we do this?’ even if I had a different opinion, I always said, ‘Okay,’ and went along with it.”

But things changed after marriage. Song Jieun confessed, “When we dated, I would just go along with it and it ended when I went home, but marriage is different—you don’t break up. You have to keep living with consideration, but one day my tired expressions must have shown.”

She continued, “I told him, ‘Honestly, I don’t like eating this or that, and I don’t really enjoy those things either. When we dated, I always followed what you wanted because I wanted to do what you liked, but I also have things I want to do.’”

Park We was quite surprised. Song Jieun said, “He told me, ‘I thought there was no one more compatible than you which is why I married you,’ but it turned out most things didn’t match.” She added, “He was shocked and asked with sad eyes, ‘Have you really lived like that? Always living to satisfy others?’”

She concluded warmly, “So now I’m honest about everything with him.”

Song Jieun and Park We registered their marriage in September 2024 and held their wedding ceremony in October the same year. Park We was diagnosed with paralysis in his lower body due to a past fall and currently runs a YouTube channel.
