The woman behind allegations concerning actor Hwang Jung Min‘s private life has responded after it was revealed that she previously operated fansites for SHINee and NCT.
The accuser, identified only as “A,” confirmed the reports about her past on August 6 but argued that her history as an idol fansite master has nothing to do with the allegations she has made against Hwang Jung Min.
The revelation came through a Dispatch report, which seemingly raised questions about A’s history of closely following celebrities. A did not deny it.
“I have no intention of denying it. It seems like they’re trying to claim that I used to follow idols around and then simply changed my target to Hwang Jung Min, but this was 16 years ago.”
A “fansite master,” commonly shortened to “homma” in Korean fandom culture, typically attends celebrities’ schedules with professional cameras to take and distribute high-quality photos and videos. A argued that exposing this part of her past was an attempt to embarrass her rather than address her claims.
“I don’t understand what that has to do with the current relationship or circumstances. The fact that I used to be a fansite master doesn’t make my claims false, nor does it serve as a substantive rebuttal to the allegations. I think it’s essentially meaningless public humiliation.”
A also denied claims that she had allegedly demanded money from Hwang Jung Min in exchange for stopping her accusations.
According to her, she had requested a private, face-to-face discussion with no money involved since 2025 in hopes of confirming the facts and resolving the dispute.
“I have never demanded money from Hwang Jung Min’s side under the pretext of reaching a settlement.”
She claimed she had consistently wanted the situation resolved privately and had even requested that lawyers be present during discussions.
A further alleged that Hwang Jung Min’s side unexpectedly approached her in July 2026, shortly before the release of his movie Hope, to discuss a settlement. She consequently denied accusations that she deliberately timed her public allegations around the movie’s release.
Hwang Jung Min’s lawyer declined to address A’s latest claims when contacted by the media, stating that it would be difficult to comment because legal proceedings are currently underway. Meanwhile, A acknowledged that continuing to post allegations publicly could potentially disadvantage her legally but claimed she felt she had little choice under the circumstances.
