With so many controversies surrounding this milestone occasion, BLACKPINK member Jisoo apologized to fans up front in a heartfelt letter. She posted a lengthy message on Weverse, telling fans that she would always be grateful for their contribution to the group’s success, and apologized that so many of them were left disappointed during such a milestone moment.

Hello, BLINK!
Before I knew it, time flew by and it’s already been 10 years since I debuted as part of BLACKPINK. I feel a deep sense of regret on this anniversary. Over the past decade, both as a member of BLACKPINK and as Jisoo, I’ve experienced so many things but I always wanted to show only my best self and be someone who brings happiness during difficult times. So, my heart feels heavy knowing that so many BLINKs are upset.
But I wanted to say that I never forget the fact that it is BLINK who makes BLACKPINK shine so brightly.
10 years! Thank you for the congratulations, and I once again apologize for causing you such deep disappointment.
I want to tell you that I am always grateful and that I love you all.
I know you must be feeling very upset… but I hope there is still room for a little bit of my sincere heart to reach you.
— Jisoo
With this heartfelt gesture, Jisoo has once again received warm praise from fans for addressing the issue head-on instead of ignoring it.
i like how she’s so real and addressing the fact that we’re upset and owning up to it instead of doing a nothing burger instagram post for more damage control and gaslighting the fans..

Jisoo addressing the issue—I genuinely respect her for this, and I can feel the sincerity in what she said. As someone who has already stepped back from being an active BLINK, I honestly didn’t expect much anymore. I’m tired of the endless disappointment, lack of communication,…

my respect for jisoo just tripled, thank you for addressing this instead of pretending everything is okay & ignoring blink’s issue

Again, Jisoo has put the group over herself and her own career that it frustrates her solo fans. She doesn’t need to be sorry for the things she has no control over, BUT DAMN HERE WE ARE!!!!
instead of celebrating, she’s saying sorry. 😭😭
