K-Pop Idol Confesses To Wanting To Leave The Group, Until A Fellow Member Stepped In

A K-Pop idol revealed the story of how she was about to leave the team but regained her determination after being persuaded by a fellow member.

On the August 8th broadcast of MBC’s entertainment program The Manager, RESCENE’s team dinner was revealed after achieving a triple crown on music shows with their song “Pretty Girl.”

Director Kim Hye Su recalled, “The members put in countless efforts to debut and went through very difficult times, and those moments flashed past like a panorama,” adding, “The members cried so much they could barely see ahead.”

To celebrate the triple crown, the members visited Woni’s favorite barbecue restaurant. There, director Kim Hye Su shared joyful news, saying, “We’ve received an invitation to perform at a year-end stage.”

She continued, “We got a request through a great opportunity, so we are working on a new rearrangement,” exciting the members.

May, happy about the invitation, recalled her trainee days. She said, “I couldn’t see hope and even thought about leaving the team,” revealing how hard those times were.

May confessed, “I felt I lacked confidence. My self-esteem kept dropping with nowhere to recover.” Despite the company CEO and director’s attempts to stop her, it was member Woni who held onto May.

Woni went directly to May’s parents and sincerely told them, “Please trust me just once.” May shared, “I was actually preparing to pack my bags at the dorm, but when I saw Woni talking to my parents, I regained my resolve,” expressing gratitude toward Woni.

Woni said, “It wasn’t easy to persuade her because I felt responsible for one person’s life. Still, I managed to convince May, and I’m thankful she stayed.“
