A Korean star shared the joy of finally becoming parents with his wife, after the pair overcame the pain of a miscarriage.
On August 11th, a message was posted on Instagram by comedian and actor Kim Ki Lee. He began, “Hello. I am Kim Ki Lee, a person who can’t contain his joy these days,” announcing the birth news.
He said, “We went from friends to lovers, then to husband and wife, and now we have become parents. It still doesn’t feel real, and each day at the hospital is hectic, but I am just so grateful and happy that my wife and baby are healthy. I will cherish this moment fully,” expressing his overwhelming feelings.
He also mentioned their baby, nicknamed “Saengmyeongi,” who was born on the 7th weighing 3.03 kg, saying, “Having received infinite blessings and love so far, Saengmyeongi and we will become a family that spreads even greater love.”
Kim Ki Lee emphasized that he will focus on his wife’s recovery. He cheerfully added, “For now, I will do my best for my wife’s recovery and prepare for Saengmyeongi’s successful debut on Earth.”
He especially showed his affection for his wife Moon Ji In. Kim Ki Lee said, “It’s true that I love the baby very much, but 100% of my love belongs to my wife. Ji In, I will never divide that 100%; for Saengmyeongi, I will love on top of that 100%,” expressing his love.
In closing, he expressed gratitude to everyone, saying, “Once again, thank you all. Thanks + love,” conveying his heartfelt thanks to those who congratulated them on the birth.
Moon Ji In and Kim Ki Lee held their wedding in May 2024. After enduring the pain of a miscarriage, they announced the pregnancy two years after their marriage.
