Along with the announcement, the singer shared a handwritten note for fans, which was shared on theqoo. However, it sparked a heated debate among netizens in terms of LUCY and Sangyeop’s “idol” label, as the topic of relationships for idols is much more taboo than for normal singers.

In the comments, while some congratulated the singer, some believed that any backlash towards the singer would be because, despite being a band, LUCY has presented the group as an idol band, which could cause a short wave of negative reactions.
