Former K-Pop Idol Confesses To Almost Jumping Off A Building After Repeated Failures

A former K-Pop idol opened up about his difficult feelings after repeated failures.

On the episode of KBS2’s variety show Mr. House Husband Season 2 aired on August 22nd, the focus was on Park Hyun Ho, who wants to establish his presence as a singer, and his supportive wife, Eun Ga Eun.

Unlike Eun Ga Eun, Park Hyun Ho felt bitter due to having no scheduled activities. He took care of Eun Ga Eun, who was busy taking care of their child and managing the household chores.

Park Hyun Ho began by saying, “I used to be Park Hyun Ho, the famous person everyone recognized on the street.” He continued, “I was an idol trainee for three years and was active for three years after debuting. When I didn’t succeed as an idol, there were many places that called me, so I thought ‘I can do it again.’ But when a standout success didn’t come, I thought that being an entertainer wasn’t the right path for me.”

Park Hyun Ho, formerly known as Seogoong, was part of the group TOPP DOGG. As the group was not very successful, he subsequently moved to the group UnderDogg and also made efforts as a soloist under the name I’M.

Seeing little success, he gave up on his dream of being a singer and enlisted in the military. After being discharged, he challenged himself as a trot singer, performing on any stage to make himself known.

However, when things didn’t improve, Park Hyun Ho even attempted to jump out of a window. He confessed, “I felt like the world didn’t like me. But at that time, my mother saw it and caught me. I feel like I was unfilial.”

Still, Park Hyun Ho said, “Now I’m living harder than anyone,” promoting himself by visiting highway rest areas, tourist buses, and singing classes.

The last stop was a singing class where Park Hyun Ho was enthusiastically promoting himself, and Eun Ga Eun appeared holding their child. Eun Ga Eun said about Park Hyun Ho, “He’s kind and pure. He gives all the money he earns. He treats our daughter well and puts family first. I hope my husband succeeds,” showing her support.

In response, Park Hyun Ho said, “These days, I can find strength thanks to my family. Since meeting Ga Eun, I’ve been able to make myself more known. I’m truly grateful to my wife.”

In an interview, Eun Ga Eun said, “Hyun Ho has struggled a lot since he was young as an idol. But whenever he says, ‘Thanks to Eun Ga Eun, I’ve come this far,’ or, ‘Thanks to Eun Ga Eun, I’ve become known,’ it hurts my heart. He says things that don’t need to be said and keeps lowering himself. Every time I see that, it hurts because he’s not a pitiful person.”

She added, “Although he’s not in high demand now, I hope that one day my husband will be so successful that he can say, ‘I was too busy to see you even once this week.’ And I believe he will become that kind of singer,” expressing her encouragement.
