BTS’s Member Under Fire After Latest “ARIRANG” Concert

BTS member RM has found himself amid yet another round of online scrutiny by his own fans after the group’s latest ARIRANG World Tour concert.

On August 23 (local time), the boy group took the stage at the Rogers Stadium in Toronto, Canada, delivering a power-packed show amid heavy rains. Devoted fans filled the venue despite the extreme weather, once again demonstrating BTS’s popular appeal.

However, one particular moment from this concert has ruffled some feathers. The backlash in concern started around a clip of RM performing the interlude portion of “Mic Drop,” where he says, “Haters gonna hate, players gonna play, what more can I say.”

Though the line said by RM is mostly the same as the original version of the song, some fans felt that it was his subtle response to the ongoing criticism surrounding him and J-Hope‘s recent rendezvous with Chris Brown. While some ARMYs felt that it was a fitting reply, others were irked by the supposed implication.
