A K-Pop idol shared updates about finding a new career.
Previously, in May, a long message titled “Personal life story I’ve never spoken of (Part 1)” was posted on social media by U-KISS‘s Alexander.

In the post, Alexander said, “In early 2024 after U-KISS 15th anniversary comeback, I was curious about my life in another multiverse (thanks to Marvel). All the “what if(s)” in my life, so I submitted a CV online without mentioning my showbiz experience; only college degree and language skills. Surprisingly, I got a few replies and was asked to go for the job interviews.”
He added, “Long story short, I did well, had my wish granted, and began working as a ‘normal’ person in an aesthetic clinic in Myeongdong. (Another job offer was hotelier, but it was too time-consuming at the time).”

Though he was busy learning dermatology terms and procedures with an interpreter, Alexander said he found joy in having a stable job. “Unfortunately, after a month or more, I received the news that my dad had to enter hospice (won’t forget how I cried on the spot at work), and U-KISS also had another comeback, so well, I had to quit my job,” he shared candidly.
On August 27, roughly three months after posting the first message, Alexander released “Personal life story I’ve never spoken of (Part 2).” He revealed that after the experience he shared previously, he quietly worked at another dermatology clinic for a year and a half at a friend’s request.
I’ve been desperately wanting to help the aestheticians because sometimes it gets really busy there. However, I’m not allowed to do so without a proper license. Therefore, at the beginning of this year, I studied and took the written exam, enrolled to an aesthetician school and prepared for the practical exam. After half a year of hard work squeezing work and school together, I’m finally a certified K-aesthetician!

Alexander, who started working as an translator and coordinator, said, “Actually, I can’t believe I’m getting so serious about this job. Started as a translator/coordinator, and now advancing myself further.”

He emphasized, “What I wanna say is: If an old man like me could do something like this, YOU can definitely do it too. It’s NEVER too late to achieve something you want. OK? Never give up before trying!”
