On September 12, TWICE’s leader Jihyo headlined at Waterbomb Kaohsiung 2026 in Taiwan. This was special as it was her first overseas solo festival performance.

She performed a variety of songs from her solo discography, along with a TWICE medley, and received a huge response from the crowd.
Most recently, she responded to a fan’s comment regarding her outfit.

Fan: This is the first time I’ve seen someone wearing jeans at Waterbomb. Weren’t they heavy?
Jihyo: LOL It’s my choice~ It was heavy, though.
Fans stepped up and defended Jihyo, stating that what she wears is none of their business.
the concept of people thinking it’s only sexy when it’s revealing clothes, like please get a fucking life. jihyo absolutely slayed yesterday, you people need to stop nitpicking everything she does, it’s getting tiring

we genuinely need to start talking about how gg stans think sexualizing female idols is okay bc they think they’re doing it in the name of female empowerment

there were people here actually mad that a woman chose to protect herself from weirdo men sexualizing her

this situation reminds me of itzy’s waterbomb set and how so many “fans” complained about the outfits being disappointing, going as far as to say that they were “dressed like nuns” (actual quote). don’t think they realized how insanely creepy and entitled it sounded
