Following the initial release, Lisa did an interview with Variety.

On social media, one of the sections the outlet promoted was regarding Lisa’s use of the “n-word.” In the interview, Lisa directly apologized for the leaked videos, and while the discourse about her lack of knowledge was similar to that of the documentary, it directly included an apology.

Lisa is apologizing for the leaked trainee videos of her and the other Blackpink members rapping and using the N-word as young teens:

It sparked a wave of reactions from netizens. While some thought that Black people had the right to decide whether to accept the apology, others praised the idol for directly clarifying the situation and context, while saying sorry.

One thing I really love & admire about lisa is that she never runs away from accountability. Back in 2021 a fan explained to her about cornrows and how it’s not appropriate for her to wear, she listened to that fan, even extended fan meeting just to educate herself & apologized+
