Recently, a screenshot of Ricky’s reaction to a film called OBSESSION was called into scrutiny after an alleged translation said that the idol called it “cute,” when netizens explained the film was known for a story about abuse towards a woman.

However, as the issue spread online, Ricky responded to the accusations.

On social media, the idol explained that people had interpreted it maliciously and that he was saying the film wasn’t as scary as he thought. Ricky then added, “If you look at something with a dirty eye, everything is dirty,” seemingly suggesting that people chose to view his message negatively, which can affect how they see everything.
