Insider Info Claims K-Pop Company Is Bankrupt — Beloved Girl Group In Disbandment Danger

Recently, fans expressed concern about UNCHILD‘s inactivity.

The girl group made their debut on April 21, 2026, with the single album, We Are UNCHILD.

UNCHILD were announced to make a comeback in September with a digital single album, already having teased a song believed to be on it at the TMElive International Music Awards back on August 23.

However, the comeback was announced to be postponed with no new updated comeback date. To make matters worse for fans, there have been no updates from the group members for an entire month, which is bizarre for a rookie group.

An anonymous user’s alleged explanation has gone viral, with many fans weighing in.

In a post made on X, an alleged insider shared information about HighUp Entertainment’s current status, claiming that the company was in a dire situation.

Apparently, a Hi-Up investor had a negative reaction to the atmosphere of the new song and the teasers that were revealed at TMEA, and as a result, withdrew their entire investment. Normally, an entertainment agency would have the capital to make up for something like this. But in HighUp’s case, the company was already in significant debt, and the amount of capital they could raise through STAYC and Unchild was nowhere near enough, which is why the comeback was delayed.

The situation has continued to deteriorate to the point where they can’t guarantee employees’ wages, so the majority of Hi-Up’s staff have been laid off. With neither money nor people to work, it’s difficult for them to outsource projects or even attempt anything new.

On top of all that, they’ve apparently given up the artists’ accommodations and stopped providing individual management for the members. From what I can see, it really seems like they’re preparing to disband.

The best solution would be for HighUp to release an official statement as soon as possible, but I don’t think they even have the resources to do that right now.

Others, while expressing disbelief, have still insisted that the company needs to speak up, while also sharing that the company was recently hiring for a number of positions.
