Top Actor Gets Police Called On Him, Faces Allegations Of Marital Violence

Recently, actor Kentaro Sakaguchi got entangled in a massive controversy after it was reported that his wife had called the police to his home.

On September 6, the actor made a public announcement, informing fans that he had tied the knot with his non-celebrity fiancée. However, according to reports by the Japanese media, on the night of September 17, there was a disturbance heard at the actor’s house, following which police had been dispatched to the address.

Citing a police official, Japanese outlet Josei Seven had claimed that Sakaguchi’s wife apparently made a police report after a marital dispute between the couple had escalated.

As these reports gave rise to suspicions regarding Sakaguchi’s marriage, his agency, Tristone Entertainment, issued an official statement on September 29. They denied any allegations of violence, stating that the actor is an extremely gentle person by nature. Tristone also threatened with “necessary” actions against false or defamatory reporting regarding this matter.

Meanwhile, Sakaguchi, who received global attention after starring in BLACKPINK member Lisa‘s “Dream” music video, is also set to star in Channel A‘s upcoming K-Drama, Kidnap Game, alongside actor Lee Joon Gi. The show will premiere on October 6.
