Recently, a video went immensely viral on X (formerly Twitter), showcasing RM’s supposed “habit” of touching all the food on the table while eating. The original post called it a “cute habit,” putting forth multiple instances of him doing it on camera.

However, fans defended him fiercely, calling the criticism xenophobic and intentionally malicious. Many pointed out that the BTS members have a close enough relationship and that they have shared food even from each other’s mouths previously.

I am telling y’all one of the biggest underlying factors of ppl hating on BTS is xenophobia and racism, coz as an Indian person we literally eat like that with our family just like THIS, with our hands that’s literally part of our culture.

Its HIS food for God’s sake.
