Former LABOUM member Yujeong has surprised fans with the announcement that she is getting married this winter.

On October 8, the singer personally shared the exciting news through a lengthy handwritten letter posted on her social media account. The announcement comes five years after Yujeong departed LABOUM in September 2021, making the letter particularly meaningful for longtime fans.

In her letter, Yujeong reflected on the five years that had passed since leaving the group and the many new experiences she had enjoyed during that time. She then revealed that she had met someone she wanted to spend the rest of her life with and would be getting married this coming winter.

The former idol described her fiancé as someone who makes her feel deeply loved, comfortable, and secure. Despite always considering herself independent, she explained that meeting him had allowed her to experience a different kind of happiness. Even more surprisingly, Yujeong revealed that the couple had been quietly preparing for their marriage for the past year, taking their time to plan their future together before sharing the news publicly.

Although she did not disclose her fiancé’s identity or the exact wedding date, she expressed deep affection and gratitude toward her future husband.

Born in 1992, Yujeong debuted as a member of LABOUM in 2014, gaining recognition for the group’s bright and energetic image. After leaving the group in September 2021 following the expiration of her exclusive contract, she continued pursuing activities in broadcasting and music.
