May the deceased rest in peace.
Japanese boy group JO1 have announced the cancellation of their concert scheduled to take place on October 8.

In a notice posted to the group’s X account, the group announced that the event, scheduled for October 8 at The Warfield in San Francisco, would be canceled. No reason for the cancellation was given, but information on refunds and an apology were included.

However, an incident at the venue is likely the cause of the concert’s cancelation.
In the early hours of October 3, it was reported that Ulysses Davis, a security guard, was shot and killed outside of the venue.
Davis was reportedly escorting a woman from the venue, when she shot him in the back in front of his wife and two children. An event for the television program “Baddies” was taking place at the venue, and fights reportedly took place inside of the “rowdy” venue. The Warfield is currently an active crime scene, and the woman accused of the shooting has since been arrested.

A GoFundMe has been set up by the family of the victim.
The rest of JO1’s US tour is expected to continue as as scheduled with the group’s next and final performance taking place in Los Angeles on October 11.
