K-Pop Idol’s Actress Wife Reveals Why Her 9-Month Pregnancy Became A Hot Topic In China

Actress Lee Da Hae, who is expecting her first child with K-Pop artist SE7EN, revealed that her pregnancy recently became a hot topic in China for an unexpected reason: her baby bump is apparently much smaller than people expected at nine months pregnant.

On October 21, Lee Da Hae appeared in a new video on Jang Young Ran‘s YouTube channel, A-Class Jang Young Ran, where Jang and comedian Shim Jin Hwa visited the actress at her home in Shanghai, China. During the visit, Shim Jin Hwa couldn’t help but marvel at how little Lee Da Hae’s pregnancy was showing. “No matter how much I touch her belly, it barely looks like she’s pregnant,” Shim remarked.

Lee Da Hae confirmed that her baby bump had indeed become a trending topic in China.

The actress also gave viewers a glimpse of the nursery she has prepared ahead of her baby’s arrival. The room featured a crib and a photo from her very first ultrasound, among other items. Lee Da Hae revealed that the crib was provided through a brand sponsorship, prompting Shim Jin Hwa to mention that the couple’s unborn baby, affectionately nicknamed “Heaven,” had already attracted numerous advertising offers. “Heaven really is a lucky baby. I heard the advertising offers have been pouring in,” Shim commented.

Elsewhere in the video, Lee Da Hae opened up about the emotional moment she broke the pregnancy news to her husband, SE7EN. According to the actress, she wasn’t actually the first one to cry. “When we found out I was pregnant, I wasn’t the one who cried first. SE7EN cried so much,” she recalled. Lee Da Hae explained that she initially had trouble believing the positive result, even after seeing two lines on a pregnancy test.

I kept taking pregnancy tests. I think I took about ten… As soon as SE7EN read the letter revealing my pregnancy, he suddenly burst into tears! I realized just how happy he was, and seeing him like that made me happy, too.
