Recently, IVE’s Jang Wonyoung garnered significant online attention for her interaction with a BVLGARI executive at an exhibition in Seoul.

During the photo call, Wonyoung was seen posing and exchanging cheek kisses with the CEO. However, videos revealed her turning away when the executive came to greet her, creating an awkward moment.

IVE’s Wonyoung Under Scrutiny Over Her Behavior Toward Male Executive

The video spread online, sparking debate on whether her behavior was rude.

However, most recently, Wonyoung directly clarified the matter in a message to fans.

And during the BVGARI event, I was so frazzled because it was a photo call, and I forgot to give one person a cheek kiss. I guess people can misunderstand things like this, too. Before the event, we were all happy and greeted one another like family. Of course, it’s because I didn’t see it. Hopefully there isn’t anyone who thinks I didn’t do it on purpose? If there is, I think that would be really interesting. Otherwise, I’m going to kiss all of you on the cheeks!

Netizens were shocked at how sweetly she responded to the controversy.

• “She talks like an angel. How can she clarify it so sweetly like that? I want to give only love to Wonyoung.”
• “Such a lovely princess.”
• “Please, can people just leave her alone?”
• “I can’t believe she has to clarify this…”
• “She must be so tired of things like this…if it were me, my personality would’ve become trash…even like her previous strawberry controversy.”
• “It’s the first time seeing her clarifying something like this…can’t imagine how badly people were criticizing her about it.”
