ADOR Breaks Silence On Minji’s Situation With NewJeans Through New Statement

ADOR has finally addressed growing speculation surrounding Minji’s return to NewJeans.

On May 7, the agency responded cautiously to reports about Minji potentially rejoining group activities in a statement to MK Sports.

“We have been continuing internal discussions regarding her future activities. We cannot give you any detailed statements about the situation, but we hope that you can understand that discussions are generally proceeding in a positive direction.“

The statement quickly drew attention as rumors surrounding Minji’s status within NewJeans have intensified in recent weeks. Earlier that day, NewJeans’ official SNS account uploaded multiple photos of Minji carefully baking cookies alongside the caption “HAPPY MINJI DAY.” Fans immediately viewed the post as significant, especially given the long-running contract dispute between NewJeans and ADOR following the group’s unauthorized departure in November 2024.

Earlier this year, sightings of Hanni, Haerin, and Hyein in Copenhagen also fueled rumors that NewJeans was preparing to return as a trio.

Now, with ADOR officially posting behind-the-scenes photos of Minji preparing those same cookies, many fans believe the company may finally be moving toward her full return to team activities.
