Actor Reveals His K-Pop Idol Brother Got Him Quite A Grand Birthday Gift

Actor Gong Myung revealed the generous gift he received from his younger brother, NCT’s Doyoung.

On June 6, 2026 (KST), the YouTube channel DdeunDdeun uploaded a new episode of Pinggyego featuring actors Jin Seon Kyu, Gong Myung, Lee Da Hee, and Yoon Kyung Ho, the cast of the upcoming Netflix K-Movie, Husbands In Action. During the episode, Gong Myung brought up Doyoung, who is currently serving in the military. “My younger brother is in the military right now, but my birthday was in May, and he gave me a huge gift,” Gong Myung said.

The unexpected reveal caught the cast off guard. Yoo Jae Suk and Yoon Kyung Ho asked, “Your younger brother, who is in the military?!” Gong Myung then shared that Doyoung had even encouraged him to talk about the gift publicly. “Yep. When he bought me the car, he told me, ‘Hyung, you should mention this somewhere,’” he said.

The actor then stood up from his seat and bowed before joking, “Thank you so much to the chairman of our family.”

Yoo Jae Suk praised Doyoung for the thoughtful gift, saying, “Your younger brother is really cool. More than anything, he’s in the military right now. Even if you have the money, that’s not easy to do. It’s really not.” When asked if Gong Myung simply accepted the gift, the actor brightly answered, “Yes,” before affectionately adding, “My younger brother has such a big heart. Sometimes, he feels like the older brother.”

Gong Myung and Doyoung are well known as one of the entertainment industry’s beloved celebrity siblings, and the story once again showed off their close relationship!
