No one expected him, of all actors.
Netflix‘s original K-Drama A Killer Paradox (also known as Murder DIEary) viewers were in for a surprise in just the first episode.
The Black comedy-thriller follows college student Lee Tang (also romanized as Yi Tang), played by Choi Woo Shik, and detective Jang Nan Gam, played by Son Suk Ku (also known as Son Seok Koo). It is based on the Naver Webtoon of the same name by Kkomabi.
When one accidental killing leads to another, an average college student finds himself stuck in an endless cat-and-mouse chase with a shrewd detective who will stop at nothing to capture him.

In Episode 1, college student Lee Tang left working at a convenience store when he ran into two customers from earlier. One appeared passed out, so he confronted the other, Yeo Bu Il, who had left him lying on the street.

Yeo Bu Il, who was friendly earlier, retaliated, cursing Lee Tang out. Shockingly, the man attacked Lee Tang, continually hitting him. Lee Tang, having been a victim of bullying in school, had flashbacks. Finally, Lee Tang fought back and hit the man in self-defense with a hammer that he had borrowed to nail a painting in his apartment. Throughout the rest of the episode, Lee Tang panics after the man dies. He worried about being caught and found guilty of murder.
Yet, the detectives determined that the two men had killed each other, especially after it was revealed that Yeo Bu Il had an affair with his friend’s wife. However, the police also discovered that this man had been living under a false identity as he was a serial killer.
When the news reported this discovery, Lee Tang found out the truth and found some reassurance that the man he killed was not innocent himself. So, after drinking with his friend, he went to his apartment and had sex with a woman… or was imagining it.
While the woman was fully naked, Lee Tang just lay there in bed with no pants as the woman was on top of him. After everything that had transpired, nothing made him feel better. He appeared disconnected.
Lee Tang heard a familiar voice ask, “Are you consoling yourself, knowing that it was a bad man that you killed? How cunning the human heart is, right?” It indicated that Lee Tang still felt guilt, and sex couldn’t distract him. The woman disappeared, and Yeo Bu Il appeared as if he was haunting him.
Yet, Lee Tang retorted to Yeo Bu Il, “You murdered a family for their insurance money and hid in a mountain. You raped and killed college students on a hike and dumped their bodies. And you say what?” Lee Tang then imagined all Yeo Bu Il’s victims, and he avenged them by killing Yeo Bu Il once again in his mind.
A Killer Paradox viewers were shocked by such a graphic scene, especially so early into the K-Drama. No one expected to see Choi Woo Shik in bed with a naked one on top of him!
just watched one episode of killer paradox and tell me why netflix decided to rate it as 18+ here when it should be 21+ there’s a sex scene right there like damn

Netizens agreed the scene was unnecessary. It was a very unsexy scene scene.
While Woo Shik appeared half-clothed in the brief sex scene, he did surprise viewers with a shirtless shower scene later in the show. Read more below.
