The male lead has sparked a scathing response.
The popular Netflix K-Drama, Bon Appétit, Your Majesty, is set to return with a second season. But netizens are not happy with the new casting decisions.

According to reports on August 11, KST, both lead actors from the first season, Lee Chae Min and Girls’ Generation member YoonA, have stepped down from the project. The second season will continue in the same universe but with a fresh lineup.

Reports claim that ASTRO member Cha Eunwoo has been confirmed as the male lead in the new season. Discussions regarding the new season’s broadcast are currently underway with tvN.

This news has been met with major pushback from netizens, who felt that Cha Eunwoo wasn’t the right choice for the project. While some objected to his acting skills, others were more turned off by his recent tax-evasion controversy.

- “It’s disgusting. The K-drama industry keeps casting that guy who evaded 20 billion won in taxes without a second thought.”
- “Ew.”
- “This is f*cking bullsh*t.”
- “Totally unlikable.”
- “I feel like his acting is going to be really bad.”
- “You can’t even act, so what’s the point?”
