Boy Group Idol Openly Talks About His Married Life

A K-Pop boy group idol openly shared details of his married life.

On the 32nd episode of KBS 1TV’s entertainment program Let’s Live Together with Hwang Shin Hye, which aired on August 26, Sungmin, originally from the group Super Junior, was invited to a village thank-you party hosted by Hwang Shin Hye, Shin Gye Sook, and Yang Jung Ah.

Invited as a guest that day, Sungmin helped prepare for the thank-you party. Sitting quietly, when Hwang Shin Hye asked, “Do you do a lot of housework at home?” he replied, “Not much, but these days men have to do housework to be loved, so I do a little.”

Now in his 12th year of marriage, he said, “Our child is 22 months old. When my wife prepares ingredients for baby food, she asks me to do it. I’m just the assistant,” proudly adding that he helps with preparing the ingredients with skilled hands.

Sungmin was born in January 1986 and is 40 years old. He debuted in the music industry in 2005 as a member of the boy group Super Junior. In 2014, he married musical actress Kim Sa Eun, who is one year older, becoming the first married man in Super Junior. They have a son, Do Yoon, born in 2024.
