CORTIS’s Name On TXT’s Album Stirs Up Massive Backlash

BIGHIT MUSIC’s fourth-generation boy group, TXT, is set to release their ninth mini album, PERFECT STORM, but fans are not at all happy with the creative decisions on this record, especially regarding CORTIS members’ inclusion in it.

After the song titles and credits for the upcoming album were released by BIGHIT, fans noticed that CORTIS members Martin, Juhoon and Seonghyeon were credited on the title track “Angel Bite” as songwriters and producers. This left many feeling irked, especially given the fact that the TXT members’ songwriting contributions on this album were limited to the B-side tracks.

it’s their 7TH YEAR as a group and yall still don’t let them partake in producing their songs….???

Bro why the hell are cortis allowed to make music for txt but txt aren’t allowed to make music for themselves? If txt don’t have time to make music because of their hectic schedule then they should be allowed more free time to focus on their music. I’m so frustrated by this.

bighit would rather give an idol from a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT GROUP a production credit than beomgyu who has been trying for ages. fuck you bighit

i think it’s completely fair moas are upset by cortis’ writing credits. txt are extremely talented and have proven time and time again they’re capable of participating in writing/producing albums, yet the TITLE track has not a single writing credit from them. just smth to keep in

i mean why they give more opportunity to cortis to compose and participate in more song over the txt members… no sense

just read the credits and bighit can go to hell actually🤗🤗 talented writers AND producers in the group and you hand it off to someone else for the credit again and again so they can build a songwriting image. like i wouldn’t be mad if both of the grps worked on it but

Many claimed that BIGHIT MUSIC was intentionally downplaying TXT’s creative contributions to their own albums while giving juniors more visibility at TXT’s expense. Some brought up similar issues, such as Yeonjun not receiving any formal credit for developing the choreography for “Beautiful Strangers” (released in 2025), and TXT not getting a proper group description on BIGHIT MUSIC’s website, pointing out that the label had a pattern of undermining the boy group.

bts’ paragraph is completely deserved and should be even longer, but seeing a rookie get an extensive bio while txt gets a generic placeholder is ridiculous. the funniest part is they even had to drop bts and txt’s names in the rookie’s description just to give them credibility.

my trust in bighit died the moment yeonjun choreographed an entire title track by himself and his name still wasn’t added on the credits🫩

The difference is actually ridiculous. Mind you, 2 pages wouldn’t even be enough to introduce txt and we got 4 lines and not a single praise or achievement mentioned. Whole thing reads like “and there’s txt as well, if anyone cares” pic.twitter.com/f1d3RNcgIP

I just found out they even sold their debut album at TXTs pop up 😭😭😭

the way bighit treats txt is honestly REALLY weird like something is OFF. it’s not even funny like i have NEVER seen a company try to hold back a group like this and they don’t even try to hide it.

CORTIS fans have defended the group, arguing that the members had previously participated in other TXT songs as well, and if there were any internal politics involved in such decisions, CORTIS probably have very little power to do anything about it.
