Disgraced Idol Returns After Cheating On Ex-Girlfriend With Girl Group Member

Back in October 2025, it was alleged that JO1‘s Shosei Ohira cheated on his girlfriend with a member of a girl group under the same label, ME:I.

It was assumed that the member was Iida Shizuku after she was announced to be going on hiatus. 

She remained on hiatus until December 22, when it was announced that she, along with three other members of ME:I would be leaving the group. The contracts for four members — Ran, Cocoro, Shizuku, and Kokona—ended on December 31, leaving ME:I with seven remaining members.

Shosei was announced to no longer be a member of the group or under LAPONE Entertainment in April, and has remained out of the spotlight since.

However, on August 21, Shosei posted on a new X account, stating that he had left his agency and would resume activities.

I, Shosei Ohira, would like to announce that I have left the agency I have been affiliated with until now and will be pursuing my activities independently.

I am sincerely grateful to everyone at my former agency, as well as everyone involved in my work, for their support, which has made it possible for me to continue my career to this day.

Moving forward, I will cherish the experiences I have gained so far while pursuing my own style of expression and taking on a variety of new activities.

I will never forget my gratitude to everyone who has supported me, and I will continue to value each and every opportunity that comes my way.
