ENHYPEN’s Niki Calls Out Invasion Of Privacy, Receives Backlash

ENHYPEN member Niki has landed himself amid a heated online discourse after calling out an individual for invading his privacy.

Recently, Niki was filmed attending The Weeknd’s concert in Korea with a friend, speculated to be TREASURE member Yoshi.

As the clip went viral, the idol called out this behavior in a series of messages he sent to fans and expressed his frustration at being filmed without his consent.

Someone filmed me secretly, and my friend ended up getting busted.

Ugh.

This is not a joke.

You should’ve come up and said something politely.

It wasn’t even my concert.

— Niki’s messages

Niki’s callout has been met with backlash as many netizens accused him of being rude to his fans. The fact that the picture was clicked by a TREASURE fan only fueled the criticism further.

• “That’s just how Niki is. He goes by mood.”
• “He’s always taking shots at fans. But wait, it turns out the person wasn’t even his fan? Seriously, what is wrong with him?”
• “Isn’t it something to be grateful for if someone recognizes you?”
• “It’s already absurd that he hasn’t communicated with fans for 18 days, but why is he snapping at people like that? Does he think fans are his friends? The attitude he’s showing in a paid communication service is just unbelievable.”

However, fans have defended the idol strongly, arguing that he had every right to express his frustration and ask for privacy.

if you feel offended by the tone ni-ki used in his DM when asking for privacy, i’ll assume it’s because the shoe fits #fullshade
