“F*cking Bullsh*t” — Transgender Celebrity Encounters Malicious Questioning

A broadcaster’s story of getting angry at a rude joke made about her transgender colleague in the past has been revealed.

On August 7th, a video titled “Honest confession from peak scandal to divorce and gender reassignment surgery review! Please stop baseless rumors” was posted on YouTube.

In the video, Harisu appeared as a guest and shared various stories with her close colleague Ahn Sun Young.

Harisu recalled an incident from a past broadcast. She said, “We were filming a Chuseok special. A male comedian I was close to said, ‘Has Harisu been to the military?’”

Harisu, who was far away at the time, didn’t hear the remark directly, but Ahn Sun Young, who was nearby, heard it and got angry on her behalf.

Harisu said, “Sun Young heard that and said, ‘You shouldn’t say things like that.’ I was grateful when I heard about it later.”

She then talked about the comment from the fellow comedian, “It was supposed to be a joke. I could have laughed it off, but it can hurt someone when they’re already struggling.”

Ahn Sun Young then corrected the story by saying, “Harisu softened it. I said, ‘Do you think that’s funny, you crazy b—? F*cking bullsh*t. If you say that kind of thing one more time, I won’t let it go.’ We just fought.”

This showed Ahn Sun Young’s special affection for Harisu and the anger she felt at the time.

Harisu is the first transgender celebrity in the Korean entertainment industry and debuted in the music scene in 2001 with her first album Temptation.
