A K-Pop girl group member revealed what it is like to be a single mom taking care of two children after two divorces.
On September 24th, a video titled “Regarding the Salon Opening and Dealing with Hair Loss from the First Customer” was uploaded on YouTube.
In the video, EXID‘s Hyelin shared concerns about wanting to find work because she has always had jobs where she had to be chosen and wanting to know how to rest well.

Jewelry‘s Lee Jihyun sympathized, saying, “We don’t get in the mindset to rest. If there’s free time, we feel like we have to do something. It’s like a sickness.”
Lee Jihyun continued, “I wasn’t like this originally. It changed after having kids and living life like this,” revealing, “At home, the only person I talk to is my daughter. The person I have the most conversations with is my daughter.”

Lee Jihyun said, “I don’t meet friends either. I don’t have friends, and meeting them feels like such a luxury. I have an obsession that I should use that time to make something for the kids to eat or fill up the refrigerator,” expressing sadness.
Lee Jihyun debuted in 1998 with the girl group Circle before it disbanded, then joined Jewelry as an original member in 2001 and was active with the group. After her contract expired, she left Jewelry in 2006; however, she rejoined for their reunion in 2026.
Lee Jihyun has been raising her daughter and son alone after enduring the pain of two divorces. Recently, she made headlines by announcing that she obtained a cosmetology license and is currently working as a beautician.
