She was firm in expressing her thoughts.

Earlier this year, it was revealed that T.O.P. and Nana were in a romantic relationship.
Dispatch Reveals T.O.P And Nana Are Dating
The two made their first public appearance at a cafe event for T.O.P’s birthday, surprising many.
While some were happy to see the two together, others were more critical, reflecting on T.O.P’s previous fan controversy.
Recently, I got cut off by a fan account that was ran for 20 years, but one fan group organized a birthday café for my bias.
Apparently, someone brought their kid along, too.
I mean, we’re definitely at the age where people are getting married and having kids, but seeing someone bring a child to an idol birthday café is still a pretty unusual sight in K-pop fandom culture…

Looking at the fanbase’s post, I can understand why they’d be angry. The agency has practically been treating the fanbase like its own unpaid staff, contacting them late at night to demand revisions to outdoor billboard ads and even going through the manager to ask them to delete photos, warning them to be careful because he’s a “sensitive person.”
And despite all that, the fans still went out of their way to protect his pride, even editing photos of a fan meeting to make it look like every seat was filled when the venue wasn’t actually full.
After 20 years of loving and supporting him, he brings his girlfriend to a fan-organized birthday café?
At this point, it’s not even just about bringing his girlfriend. It’s about years of accumulated disrespect and how one-sided this relationship has become.
Honestly, even a saint would leave this fandom over something like this.

It seems that in response to the criticism, Nana has shared a public post addressing the comments.
On her Instagram story, Nana discussed her relationship with T.O.P, firmly stating she did not believe it was something she needed to apologize over.

For 17 years, I have approached my work with sincerity at every moment and always given it my very best.
I’m only human, so there have been times when I’ve been emotionally shaken or felt uncertain and vulnerable. However, even during those times, I have never taken my responsibilities lightly or failed to fulfill the duties entrusted to me.
Over these 17 years, I have been fortunate to have fans by my side who supported and stood by me, asking for nothing in return and wishing only for my happiness.
Whether I was actively working and appearing frequently, or going through long periods without any updates, you quietly waited for me with unwavering hearts and continued to support me.
I wanted to protect those precious feelings, and I wanted you to be happier because of me. That has not changed, even now.
The reason I am writing this post is because…
I want to address those people who call themselves fans but deliberately write malicious posts, disregarding my choices and freedom simply because I have publicly acknowledged my relationship.
I hope you will take a moment to calmly reflect on what exactly you expect and want from a celebrity, and from me, Nana, as a person.
I have tried to understand all of your words and actions, but I simply cannot understand them.
What terrible thing have I done? What harm have I caused you? Have I committed some kind of moral wrongdoing?
Let me make this perfectly clear: my relationship, and the decision to acknowledge it publicly, are matters concerning my private life and my own personal choices.
I do not believe this is something I should have to apologize for.
The only thing I feel sorry about is that, because of me, people who I consider to have never been genuine fans have caused others to hear hurtful criticism and experience pain that they otherwise would never have had to hear, see, or feel.
Please don’t hurt the fans who love and respect Nana as a human being, beyond the boundaries of being a celebrity. Please stop causing them any more harm.
— Nana
In response, fans of the idol have shown support of her statement and commented how it went away from the standard dating confirmation.
finally a korean celebrity not apologising for falling in love and dating like a normal person

As an After School stan for 15 yrs, I’ve never seen Nana do things that would purposefully hurt her fans. Pledis overworked her in Korea, Japan, & China, doing music, dramas, and variety shows but she never once complained! Whoever doesn’t support her happiness is NOT a real fan!
