A K-Pop idol surprised fans by announcing her pregnancy on the occasion of her fourth wedding anniversary.
On November 1st, a post was shared on Instagram, “Today, November 1st, on our fourth wedding anniversary, I want to share some incredibly grateful, precious, and joyful news. I’m so excited,” by Soyeon, originally from the girl group T-ARA.
She revealed, “Our baby will be born soon.” She added, “Actually, I’m waddling around with a growing belly,” giving a glimpse of her noticeably baby bump.
The photos she shared included her first 3D ultrasound image and her prominently rounded baby bump.
Wearing a comfortable dress, Soyeon placed a heart emoji on her belly, expressing the excitement of an expectant mother.
Most notably, this pregnancy came as a special gift during a difficult time she and her husband, footballer Cho Yoo Min, were enduring together.
Soyeon recalled, “Right after our wedding, my husband’s dream was to compete in his first World Cup, and then the two of us had spent four years preparing for his second World Cup.”
She continued, “Just as he made it to the final roster for the 2026 World Cup and was about to fully enjoy that joy, he suffered an injury during the first match in the U.S. and had to return home alone, leaving everything behind.”
Reflecting on that period, she confided, “While we were overcoming the greatest challenge of his career together, God unexpectedly and unplanned gifted us with this precious life,” calling it “a miracle.”
Soyeon expressed her overwhelming feelings, saying, “From the day we found out about the baby’s existence, both my husband and I have been fully aware of ‘gratitude,’ and we are happily spending each day with our baby.”
She added, “Going forward, I will live with gratitude every day together with my kind and diligent husband, and our baby, who will surely look like him, along with our adorable dogs.” Especially with hashtags like “#YearOfTheSheepMom” and “#SonMom,” she revealed that the baby is a boy, sharing a double joy.
Soyeon married footballer Cho Yoo Min in 2022. On their fourth wedding anniversary, the couple announced the pregnancy of their first child, heralding the arrival of a new family member.
