“…just destroyed his group’s career.”
A bizarre dance challenge filmed by a boy group member has gained attention online.

A member of the K-Pop boy group Genus recently shared a TikTok dance challenge online. The video of member Chanyong showed the idol dancing to audio labeled “Neck Hurts,” taken from an episode of South Park in which a character says the N-word.

With the audio being sourced from an explicit usage of the slur, there were a variety of negative reactions online.

On October 8, a notice was posted to the group’s account on TikTok, acknowledging the now-deleted video’s usage of the n-word.
