Min Hee Jin Accused Of Asking NewJeans About Whether To Target ILLIT — Inciting Fury

In new reports, Min Hee Jin has been accused of asking NewJeans about whether to target ILLIT, sparking fury among netizens.

In articles regarding the recent court case, Min Hee Jin was accused of asking NewJeans whether to target ILLIT, using the phrase “Teach a lesson,” and of the members initially agreeing with the idea.

BELIFT LAB also brought up what happened at the time a meeting was arranged between NewJeans’ parents and HYBE executives, shortly after the issue was raised. BELIFT LAB said, ‘Min Hee Jin unilaterally posted several examples involving ILLIT in a group chat and then asked the members, “Should I teach ILLIT a lesson?” The members instinctively replied, “Yes,” but when Min Hee Jin then said she was going to hold a press conference, the members became anxious, saying, “We told her ‘yes’ at the time, but what if she uses that at the press conference to publicly target ILLIT?” That is what they told us about how they were feeling at the time.”

When the comments were shared online, it sparked huge backlash towards Min Hee Jin and NewJeans. Many thought the narrative also pointed out that NewJeans were more concerned about seemingly dragging their names into anything against ILLIT.
