Miscarriage, Infertility, 100 Injections — Famous Singer And His Wife Overcome Difficulties To Have Children

A famous Korean singer revealed the struggles with infertility and the in vitro fertilization (IVF) process he and his wife went through.

On the October 31st broadcast of KBS2’s Mr. House Husband 2, a day of co-parenting with the couple Park Hyun Ho and Eun Ga Eun was shown.

On the show, Sleepy mentioned, “My wife said, ‘Two kids is enough,’ but recently she wants to have a third,” adding, “But that changes every day,” referring to his wife’s plans for a third child.

He also shared the joy of raising two children, telling Park Hyu Ho and Eun Ga Eun, who were considering having a second child, “Kids are so beautiful. I wonder why I ever worried about having a second.”

As a father of children born a year apart, Sleepy revealed why they had their second child after just one year. He confessed, “My wife naturally got pregnant but suffered a miscarriage. We went to the hospital for tests and were diagnosed with infertility.” At the time, his wife was in her early 30s, but her ovarian age was in her mid-40s.

Sleepy said, “After the infertility diagnosis, we conceived our first child through IVF.” Despite receiving over 100 injections, the couple never gave up and were finally blessed with their first daughter. He continued, “The second child was also conceived through IVF on the first try,” explaining that through the IVF procedure they soon had their second child, a son.

He also explained why they tried for their second child just three months after the first, saying, “The doctor said, ‘If you don’t try now, having a second child will be difficult,’ so we immediately went for it.”

Sleepy married a non-celebrity who is eight years his junior in 2022. They welcomed their first child, a daughter, in March 2024, and last April, they embraced their second child, a son.
