She is linked to her mother’s agency.
New details have emerged following reports that TWICE’s Tzuyu may be leaving JYP Entertainment after contract renewal discussions.
TWICE’s Tzuyu Will Reportedly Leave JYP Entertainment
On July 14, Taiwanese media outlet Liberty Times reported growing speculation that Tzuyu could move to Weihai Entertainment, a company founded by her parents.
The company is led by Tzuyu’s mother, Huang Yen Ling, and is involved in entertainment management, music distribution, video production, advertising, fashion, and cosmetics. Her father, Zhou Yi Cheng, is also listed as an auditor.
The report also pointed to Tzuyu’s recent appearance at the Kaohsiung Beer Festival, where she was introduced using her birth name, Zhou Tzuyu, instead of “TWICE’s Tzuyu.” The outlet claimed this could indicate that she has already started preparing for independent activities.
JYP Entertainment has not confirmed any changes to Tzuyu’s contract status. The company stated, “TWICE is currently in the process of discussing contract renewals, and we will provide an update once the matter has been finalized.”
