Nana’s Home Intruder Makes Brazen Arguments Defending His Actions In Court

The man who broke into idol-turned-actress Nana’s home, attacked her and her mother, and attempted a robbery, has sparked huge backlash yet again after denying all charges during the appeal trial.

The Seoul High Court’s Criminal Division 14-3 held the first hearing of the appeal on Thursday, August 13, for Mr. A, a man in his 30s who was indicted on charges of robbery causing injury. Mr. A’s lawyer argued in court that there was some oversight in finding the facts and interpreting the law during the first-trial ruling and that the sentence was “excessively harsh.” Notably, Mr. A was sentenced to seven years in prison in the first trial after he was found guilty of all charges in the indictment.

However, during the appeal hearing, Mr. A maintained that he was not carrying a weapon and had no intention of committing robbery despite breaking into the actress’s home. He also reasoned that the victims only sustained minor injuries, urging for a lighter sentence.

Mr. A’s repeated absurd defense arguments in court have stirred up extreme outrage and concern among netizens.
