NCT’s Ten Calling Out Mark Lee Triggers Mixed Reactions 

Since his departure from NCT, Mark Lee has taken several steps to establish himself as a solo artist.

However, amid this, several controversies have arisen surrounding the idol, including one involving Mark wearing a Confederate flag. He’s also been criticized for his other actions following the scandal.

In light of this, a past interaction between Mark and Ten has resurfaced.

The clip in question is from a livestream in 2018 featuring Mark, Ten, Johnny, and Jaehyun, also known as the “foreign swaggers.”

During the clip, Mark begins to speak in a accented English that is used to appear “cool,” when Ten questions what he is doing and asking if that is the “cool” way to talk now while mimicking him. Johnny comments that that is how Mark speaks, and Mark appears under the impression that Ten is teasing him.

The manner in which Mark was speaking is sometimes referred to as a “blaccent,” as it mimics the way some black people speak.

The video was reposted recently, with some seeing it as “proof” of Ten “knowing” of what many have seen as a negative side of Mark.
