Obsessive Fan Successfully Registers Marriage With Her Bias Without Him Knowing

A Korean singer confessed a bizarre experience in which he became a married man without even knowing it.

One of his fans secretly registered a marriage, causing his real wife to be listed as the “second wife” on official documents.

On September 12th, Kim Bum Ryong appeared on the MBN entertainment program Sokpuri Show Dongchimi and shared what he went through due to an obsessive fan in the past.

On the show, Kim said, “When I went to get my family register, I found out I was already a married man,” surprising the cast by adding, “I had no idea until I saw the register for the first time.”

The person in question was a fan who frequently visited him. Kim explained, “One of the fans who came often liked me so much that she apparently filed a marriage registration alone.”

He recalled that at the time, only one party needed to visit the government office for the marriage to be registered. Hearing this, Lim Ye Jin remarked, “Female celebrities often suffered from this,” adding that there were similar cases of such harm.

This fan also left a strong impression on singer Jeon Young Rok. Kim said, “Young Rok hyung knew her and asked, ‘Is she the one?’” He also shared, “They even splashed paint on Young Rok hyung while he was on stage.”

The issue arose when Kim Bum Ryong was preparing for his actual wedding, only to find out he was already recorded as married to someone else.

Kim revealed, “When I got married, my wife was listed as the second wife,” delivering another shock. He later filed an annulment lawsuit to correct the issue and explained, “The marriage registration record was erased.”

Kim Bum Ryong debuted in 1985 with the hit “Wind Wind Wind” and gained great popularity. Known not only for his outstanding vocal skills but also for his dark eyebrows and exotic looks, he was loved as a “1980s handsome male singer.”
