Reality Dating Show Star Spills On The Wild Lie Her Ex-Husband Made That Led To Divorce

A Korean reality dating show star revealed the reason for her divorce from her ex-husband.

Recently, a video titled “The creepy secret my ex-husband hid” was uploaded on YouTube.

In the video, Park Hye Kyung, who appeared on MBN‘s Love After Divorce 5, featured as a guest and shared her concerns.

When asked about her ex-husband, Park explained, “We lived together for five months before the wedding in our first home and for three months after the wedding.”

She then said the reason she decided to divorce was, “He broke my trust. He hid his illness.” She revealed, “He was a kidney transplant patient. I heard it was because he took herbal medicine that strained his kidneys, leading to the transplant. His family initially opposed us, but my parents really liked him, and I was very happy. I thought that if the kidney damage was due to herbal medicine, it might get better with proper care.”

But it turned out to be a lie. Park said, “We got married overcoming parents’ objections, but it turned out he had diabetes since he was young. He hid the fact that he had diabetes from when we started dating until three months after marriage. Because of diabetes, he had the kidney transplant. Even after the transplant, he was injecting insulin four times a day—once after breakfast, lunch, and dinner and once every 24 hours. But I didn’t know about it even while living together,” which shocked viewers.

Jung Ho Geun asked, “Isn’t insulin administered by injection?” Park answered, “He used a pen-type injector, and he did it in the bathroom. Since I didn’t know he had diabetes, I never thought about him injecting insulin.”

Jung then asked, “Still, some might ask, ‘If their love is strong, would that really be a problem?’” Park said, “I did think about that. At first, I was shocked, confused, and a little angry, but as time went by and I calmed down, I cried. I thought if the reason he didn’t tell me was because he feared we’d break up, how anxious he must have been, how nervous about being found out, injecting himself alone. When someone you love does that, it hurts and breaks your heart,” showing her sympathy.

However, when asked why she decided to divorce, Park said, “I believe a couple should be equals, but I couldn’t tolerate that he always had to be on top. Like a seesaw that isn’t balanced, if it tilted a little towards me, he couldn’t stand it.“
